Susan is the President of SHM Resources, LLC and Searchpath International's 50th addition to our franchise family. Ms. Hennessey is a recognized leader in the human resources management and talent acquisition field with work experience that includes Fortune 100 retail, publicly traded commercial real estate and development, public accounting firms, and small and emerging business organizations. With over 20 years of demonstrated experience in executive search, Susan has successfully recruited many senior level positions including those of President, COO, CFO, Executive Vice President, Senior Vice President, Department Vice President, Director and Regional/General Manager. Susan has a vast network of industry leaders and is a business partner in the most sensitive area of your business - People and Talent. Susan's philosophy is one of personal engagement and integrity within her client, candidate and large industry network base.
Most recently, she served as Vice President of Human Resources for Developers Diversified Realty Corp., a fully integrated real estate investment trust with a market dominance in the shopping center and lifestyle center industry. Susan, an officer and member of the executive and compensation committee, led the organization through numerous business acquisitions and mid-management to senior level talent searches.
Previously, Susan was Regional Manager of Human Resources for McDonald's Corporation headquartered in Oak Brook Illinois. She directed the human resource and senior management recruitment in a multi-state territory and worked closely with franchise owners in the area of retention, employee relations and performance management.
Susan also spent two years with Deloitte & Touche directing the Pittsburgh office in the areas of talent utilization and college and mid-management recruitment.
Ms. Hennessey is a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh with a Bachelor of Science Degree. She is a certified facilitator and instructor in the Seven Habits of Highly Effective People - Steven Covey Institute, a valued key note speaker and instructor in the areas of Diversity Training, Managing the Changing Workforce, Woman's Career Development and Effective and Legally Sound Employee Selection Practices.
Susan's affiliations include the Society of Human Resource Management (SHRM), International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC), President - Ad Hoc Shopping Center REIT Network for HR Leaders and the Northeast Ohio Human Resources Planning Society.
